1. Why should my wedding be videotaped?

This is a simple one to answer.  What would you give to see the wedding video of your parents
or your grandparents?  Well, your children will want to see yours too.  But of course that is not
the only reason.  It's for you as well.  And over the years you will watch, and relive your
wedding many times.

2. Should I hire a videographer even though I have a photographer?

Definitely - Yes!  Both photography and a video recording of your wedding are a must. They
go hand in hand.  Photography captures the moments of the day while videography keeps
those moments alive so you can entertain friends and family with living memories of your
wedding day.

3. What kind of cameras and equipment do you use?

BVP uses Canon 3-chip digital cameras and UHF professional grade wireless microphones to
give you fantastic color, clarity, and CD quality sound at a price that is hard to beat.  BVP can
edit your production adding music, titles and even special effects if needed.  It's all done
digitally in a powerful Apple computer with software specifically designed for digital video.  BVP
can output your finished production onto VHS, S-VHS, or DVD.

4. Won't your lights and equipment overpower my wedding?

If you look objectively, you will notice that photography has much more impact than video on
the nature and flow of the wedding day.  Video has no flash, no shutter or winder noise, no
posing, and no commands to smile.  We use cameras that shoot in low light situations.  There
are times we will use lights, but only when absolutely necessary and only when it doesn't
interfere with the natural flow of the event.  Remember that photography of any sort requires
light.  Candlelight weddings are great for the immediate "effect," but will not make as beautiful
a memory on your video.  To capture your wedding vows in perfect clarity, we use a wireless
audio system.  When a cord is needed for power, we make sure it is hidden and secured.

5. How do you light the reception?

Most indoor locations require some sort of supplementary lighting for a professional quality
video.  Big lights on stands usually produce a better looking video, but are ugly and can turn
your beautiful reception room into a TV studio.  On the other hand, a small on-camera light will
not sacrifice the elegant ambiance of your party, and when combined with a good low-light
camera, produces a very natural looking picture.

6. What are the limitations of your videotaping?

There are several limitations you should be aware of.  First, we abide by any restrictions of the
wedding official, usually the clergy, and any restriction at the location of your wedding.  We
always show respect to the officiator and to any place of worship.  We meet the clergy and ask
for the "house rules" so not to cause any misunderstandings during the wedding.  We will
inform you of any restrictions and how they may affect our shooting.  It is the client's
responsibility to negotiate any modifications of the "house rules."

The other source of limitation is from our lack of knowledge of what you want in your video.
Specifically, we can't be sure we will shoot what is important to you, if you don't tell us.  We
encourage you to make a list of any individuals, couples, groups or items that is at the top of
your list for inclusion in your movie.  And don't be afraid to grab us during the wedding day and
point to a shot you would like included.

7. Why do you require a deposit fee?

This is a fee you pay to retain our services on the date specified in the contract.  We agree not
to schedule another event on that date.  A 50% deposit is required upon signing of contract for
wedding packages.
Deposit is not subject to refund if you cancel the wedding or our services.

8. When is the final amount due?

The remaining final amount due is to be paid no later than 2 weeks prior to the wedding date.

9. When will my video be ready?

Usually within 2 - 3 months depending upon receipt of any photographs to be included in the
video, BVP’s business schedule, and any unforeseen issues.

10. What if I don't like something about my video and want it changed?

Even though the video is a record of events, it is also a work of art, and thus, subject to
different tastes.  As a work of art, the videographer and the video editor are the artists, and
thus, make the final decisions.  However, if we have made a mistake by not following the
contract or made a glaring editing error, then we will make the change free of charge.  If, on
the other hand, it is a matter of you preferring it a different way or a concern that is not in the
contract, then we charge $35.00 per hour for changes.

11. Will I watch my video more than once?

Our clients tell us they watch their videos over and over again.  We're creating a movie of your
wedding day that is fun and exciting to relive.  You'll love sharing your video with family and
friends.  And most importantly, you'll have a permanent record of an amazing moment in time
that will be passed down for generations to come.

Don't leave the decision of video until the last minute. The video may not be the most
important thing on your "To do" list right now, but it will be the #1 priority the day after the
honeymoon.
